GE IS215ACLEH1A is an application control layer module that is part of General Electric Industrial Systems’ EX2100 series. It has two and a half slots and two Ethernet ports on the front panel, with a higher assembly level than other EX2100 models, indicating that it has added components. The main function of this module is to serve as a microprocessor based controller.
In addition, GE IS215ACLEH1A adopts a redundant fault-tolerant control system platform based on TRICON Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) structure. This control system has three main processors, and all I/O signals are designed to be triple. They are processed through hardware’s two out of three voting to ensure the system’s redundant fault-tolerant function. Each main processor has a 32-bit CPU.
