WOODWARD 8200-1301 Digital governor system

Description

WOODWARD 8200-1301 is a model of the 505 digital speed controller manufactured by Woodward Corporation. This is an integrated graphical front panel HMI (Human Machine Interface) with AC/DC (88-132 Vac or 90-150 Vdc) power supply. It is part of the 505D digital governor turbine control series.
The WOODWARD 8200-1301 governor is mainly used to control steam turbines, and its design allows for on-site programmability and the use of menu driven software to control mechanical drive applications and/or generators. This governor can be configured as part of a DCS (Distributed Control System) or designed as an independent unit. In addition, it provides multiple different normal operating modes, including configuration mode, operation mode, and service mode.
In configuration mode, the hardware enters I/O lock and puts all outputs in an inactive state, which is usually only used during the original configuration of the device. The operating mode allows for normal operation from startup to shutdown, while the maintenance mode allows calibration and adjustment during unit shutdown or normal operation.
The front panel of WOODWARD 8200-1301 is designed to provide multiple levels of access for tuning, operation, calibration, and configuration of the turbine. All turbine control functions can be executed from the front panel, including logical algorithms for controlling, stopping, starting, and protecting the turbine using multiple input buttons.
